The share of his team's offensive or defensive snaps a player was on the field for. The first thing to check before anything else.
Snap share = snaps played / team snapsEverything else is downstream of being on the field. A back-up with a strong per-play number and a 30% snap share is a different proposition from a starter with the same rate, and snap share is what separates a real role change from a good afternoon.
It moves before production does, which makes it the most useful leading indicator in fantasy and in betting player props.
