What's in it
The whole league, the way you already query the NFL.
Games and the playoffs
Every FCS game with the score, the venue, and the playoff or bowl name for postseason games. The 2020 season, played in spring 2021, is included.
Lines from ESPN
Each sportsbook's spread, total and moneyline as ESPN lists them, from 2017, with results against the line. Coverage varies: about five books a game in 2017, three in 2018, five in 2019, nine or ten from 2020 to 2023, and two a game since 2024. Games without a posted line have none.
Play-by-play and drives
Every play with down, distance, field position and yards gained, and every drive, for most games since 2013 and fewer before. The home win probability after each play from 2016.
Standings
Conference standings computed from every final game, with overall and conference records and points for and against.
Players
Each player's passing, rushing, receiving, defense, kicking and return line by game, and season leaders. Earlier seasons' player lines are partial in the source.

Regular season, playoffs and preseason.
What it does not have
- FCS games, plus the few a season ESPN files against lower-division opponents. A game between an FBS and an FCS team is in the college football (FBS) data, not here.
- Games since 2004. Play-by-play is missing for every game before 2006 and for many before 2013; since then 80 to 99 percent of games in a season have it. Win probability starts in 2016.
- Lines are ESPN's only, from 2017, and thin: two books a game or fewer since 2024. No Odds API archive, player props or alternate lines.
- No AP or CFP ranks (ESPN shows none for FCS games), no Elo, no recruiting, injuries or depth charts.
- Player lines before 2016 are partial in the source (they do not always add up to the team totals).
- Standings leave out teams ESPN has no conference for.
Questions
What is the difference between this and the college football data?
The college football data covers FBS. This covers FCS, from its own tables and its own endpoint. A game between an FBS team and an FCS team is in the FBS data only, so no game appears in both.
How far back do the odds go?
From 2017, from ESPN only. Coverage is uneven: nine or ten books a game from 2020 to 2023, about two since, and not every game has a line.
Does it cover the FCS playoffs?
Yes. Postseason games are season_type postseason, named for the round where ESPN names it, with box scores and play-by-play where ESPN has them.
Does FCS data cost extra?
No. Same credits per tool as the NFL, from the same balance.
