What's in it

The whole league, the way you already query the NFL.

Games, ranks and bowls

Every FBS game with the score, the AP or CFP rank of both teams at kickoff, and the bowl or playoff round for postseason games.

Lines from two sources

Each sportsbook's spread, total and moneyline: about six to ten books per game from 2014 to 2023 from ESPN, and five to eight books including Pinnacle for 2020 to 2025 from The Odds API, with pre-kickoff snapshots and results against the line. Where both price a game, their median closing spreads agree to within half a point on average.

Player props

Passing, rushing and receiving yards, passing TDs, receptions and anytime TD by sportsbook, 2023 to 2025, linked to the player where the name is unambiguous.

Play-by-play and drives

Every play with down, distance, field position and yards gained, every drive, and the home win probability after each play from 2016.

Standings and Elo

Conference standings from every final game, with the latest rank and our Elo for every FBS team.

Players

Each player's passing, rushing, receiving, defense, kicking and return line by game, and season leaders. Complete from 2016; earlier seasons' player lines are partial in the source.

What it does not have

  • FBS games only (FBS-vs-FCS games included).
  • Play-by-play is thinner before about 2006; win probability starts in 2016.
  • Sportsbook lines from 2012 (one book in 2012-13). From ESPN, usually one book per game since 2024; The Odds API archive covers 2020 to 2025 (about five to eight books a game, rising from 2020 to 2025).
  • Player props 2023 to 2025 only; about one prop line in ten is not linked to a player id.
  • Player lines before 2016 are partial in the source (they do not always add up to the team totals).
  • No player tracking, depth charts, injuries or recruiting data.

Questions

Does it cover bowls and the College Football Playoff?

Yes. Postseason games are season_type postseason, named for the bowl or playoff round, with box scores, play-by-play and lines.

How far back do the odds go?

ESPN has one book per game in 2012 and 2013, about six to ten from 2014 to 2023, and usually one since. The Odds API archive adds five to eight books, Pinnacle among them, for 2020 to 2025. Each line says which source it came from.

College and NFL team codes overlap. Do they mix?

No. College football has its own tables and its own endpoint, and it only answers for college football.

Does college data cost extra?

No. Same credits per tool as the NFL, from the same balance.
